DELNORE · SPECTCHAT

We collect less than
you'd think.

Here's exactly what we store, why, and how to get it deleted.

What we collect

When you chat with SPECT we store the messages you send and the replies SPECT generates. If you share an email address in the conversation, we save it so we can reach out when we go live. Every visitor gets a fresh, anonymous session ID — we do not use cookies to track you across visits.

Where it lives

Conversations and emails are stored in Supabase, hosted in Australia. That's it. No third-party analytics trackers. No ad networks. No data brokers. Row-level security means only DELNORE server processes can read them.

Who else touches your message

SPECT is built on top of third-party infrastructure. When you send a message, it passes through one or more of the following providers. Each has their own privacy policy governing how they handle your data — we recommend reading them:

  • ·Groq — primary LLM provider (Llama 3.3 70B). Messages are sent to Groq to generate replies. Groq does not retain data beyond the request. Groq Privacy Policy
  • ·Cloudflare Workers AI — fallback LLM provider if Groq is unavailable. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
  • ·Anthropic — may be used in the future for certain SPECT capabilities. If introduced, we'll update this page. Anthropic Privacy Policy
  • ·OpenAI — may be used in the future for certain SPECT capabilities. If introduced, we'll update this page. OpenAI Privacy Policy
  • ·Supabase — where conversations and emails are stored. Database hosted in Australia. Supabase Privacy Policy
  • ·Vercel — where the SpectChat site is hosted. Vercel Privacy Policy
  • ·Telegram — if you chat with SPECT via the Telegram bot, Telegram handles message delivery. Telegram Privacy Policy

We don't use your conversations to train any public model. We don't sell your data. We don't run analytics trackers, ad networks, or data brokers.

Sign-in providers

You can optionally sign in to secure your SpectChat account. We use Supabase Auth as the identity layer, which talks to these providers on your behalf:

  • ·Google OAuth — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture. We never see your Google password. Google Privacy Policy
  • ·Apple Sign-In — if you sign in with Apple, we receive a relay email address (unless you choose to share your real one). We never see your Apple ID password. Apple Privacy Policy
  • ·Email magic link— Supabase sends you a one-time sign-in link via email. No password stored, ever.

Sign-in is optional. You can use SpectChat fully anonymously.

Cross-border data transfers

By using SpectChat you acknowledge that your messages are processed by third parties based outside Australia, including in the United States (Groq, Cloudflare, Vercel, OpenAI, Anthropic if used) and wherever Supabase databases are hosted. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies, which we link to above. We only use providers with publicly documented privacy practices and we never share data for purposes unrelated to delivering SPECT's replies.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and the EU GDPR you have the right to:

  • ·Access any personal data we hold about you
  • ·Request correction of anything inaccurate
  • ·Request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten)
  • ·Object to or restrict processing
  • ·Withdraw consent at any time (for any data we hold based on consent)
  • ·Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Email info@spectchat.com with a brief description of your request. We respond within 14 days. No cost to exercise these rights.

Legal basis (GDPR)

For users in the EU/UK, we process personal data on two legal bases:

  • ·Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — when you share your email or sign in, you consent to us storing and contacting you about early access
  • ·Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) — delivering SPECT's chat responses, maintaining security, and improving the service

Direct marketing

If you share your email with SPECT we will only use it to notify you when SpectChat goes live and (rarely) to share major product updates. We don't sell emails, we don't rent them, and every message we send will have a clear way to opt out. You can opt out at any time by replying to any email or contacting info@spectchat.com.

Complaints

If you believe we've mishandled your personal information, email us first at info@spectchat.com. We take complaints seriously and will investigate within 30 days.

If you're unsatisfied with our response, you can escalate:

  • ·Australia: Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) — oaic.gov.au
  • ·EU: Your local data protection authority
  • ·UK: Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — ico.org.uk

Data retention

We keep conversations indefinitely so SPECT can learn from real interactions and so we can reach out when we go live. You can request deletion at any time using the email above.

Security

All traffic is HTTPS. All secrets live server-side. Supabase Row-Level Security blocks anonymous reads. We never log passwords, payment information, or anything you haven't explicitly sent in a message.

Children

SpectChat is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we update this page we'll update the date below. Material changes will be noted on the homepage.
